On June 14, 2023, during the awarding ceremony of the “Model Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) – Simulation Conference”, the representatives of government agencies and OIC embassies accredited in Azerbaijan, as well as members of Parliament, awarded the students and teams representing OIC countries, at the Council of Foreign Ministers simulation conference for their distinguished performance.
At the mentioned simulation conference, debates were held on protracted disputes in the OIC geography, and resolutions were adopted that represented the participants’ ways of solving real-world disputes were adopted.
It should be noted that, during the International Relations Academy sessions held in April-May 2023, Ambassadors of the OIC countries accredited to Azerbaijan, experts from various governmental organizations and academicians from educational institutes delivered lectures to students from leading universities of Azerbaijan.
The award categories are as follows:
– Best Journalist (Leyla Mustafayeva, represented Al Jazeera)
– Best SMMer (Bahadur Huseynov, represented Republic of the Sudan)
– Best Debater (Musa K. Ceesay and Rahil Isabeyli, represented Republic of the Gambia and Malaysia respectively)
– Best Team Leader (Aydan Hajiyeva, represented Middle East region)
– 3rd Best Delegation (Sabuhi Dadashov & Aysel Samadova, represented Republic of Yemen)
– 2nd Best Delegation (Emin Gurbanli & Seljan Karimli, represented Kingdom of Morocco)
– 1st Best Delegation (Javid Rahimli & Zahra Musayeva, represented United Arab Emirates)
