The online competitions of CREATEST, VOLUNTEST and CHARITEST, organized by the Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF (ICYF-ERC) in partnership with youth organizations from Pakistan, Romania, Kazakhstan and Tatarstan (Russia) have successfully concluded.
The aim of the contests was to give a chance to the talented minds of our youth to materialize their thoughts and ideas as well as to “compete with one another in good deeds” during a pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus.
CREATEST aimed to inspire young people to generate innovative posters/banners to deliver strong social/civic messages. VOLUNTEST aimed to build confidence, inspire, and challenge youth to make a difference in their local community through volunteerism activities during the pandemic. “CHARITEST” aimed to promote charity actions to families and individuals in small communities.
According to the unanimous decision of the Jury, Mr. Suad Muradov from Azerbaijan and representing the “Karabakh Volunteers” of the Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan won the “VOLUNTEST”, Mr. Qaiser Nawab from Pakistan won the “CHARITEST” and Malaysian young graphic designer Ms. Iffah Rezali won the “CREATEST”. Winners will be awarded 500 USD in cash by ICYF-ERC.
It should be noted that successful competitions were of great interest to young people, and in total hundreds of applications were received from more than 30 countries.
