Upon the invitation of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan (RF), Mr. Elmaddin Mehdiyev, Director General of the Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF (ICYF-ERC) addressed the opening ceremony of the educational training programme within the framework of the “All-Russian school of the project office of international youth cooperation on Russia-OIC”, on 22 September 2020.
The ceremony was also attended by H.E. Mr. Grigoriy Gurov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of the Russian Federation (Росмолодежь), H.E. Mr. Damir Fattakhov, Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan (RF), Mr. Radik Vakhitov, Head of Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Kazan and Ms. Elmira Sadykova, Executive Director of the Foundation of the Strategic Dialogue and Friendship with the Islamic World.
Mr. Elmaddin Mehdiyev mentioned the important role of the Republic of Tatarstan as an important bridge between the Russian Federation and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and highlighted the successful partnership between the ICYF-ERC and Tatarstan on various activities aimed at the development of youth, including the ongoing
Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum and Model OIC – Eurasia initiative.
