H.E. Mr. Bilal Hayee, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan newly appointed to the Republic of Azerbaijan paid a courtesy visit to the Eurasian Regional Center of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF-ERC) on 7 October 2020.
During the meeting with His Excellency Ambassador, the sides exchanged views on future prospects of cooperation and relations in the field of youth development. Ambassador Hayee was informed about the activities, projects and programmes of ICYF-ERC aimed at the development of youth both, on international and national levels, including in the brotherly Pakistan. The International Seminar on the Role of Young Women and Girls in Countering Violent Extremism held in Islamabad on 6-7 February 2020 in partnership with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony of Pakistan as well as receiving of ICYF-ERC delegation by H.E. Dr. Arif Alvi, the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and other officials were highlighted as the sign of Pakistan’s support and contribution to the activities of ICYF and its Eurasian Regional Center. It was also mentioned that Pakistan is represented at the Board of ICYF-ERC which is the added value for fruitful and successful cooperation.
The parties reaffirmed their readiness and commitment to further develop cooperation and joint activities and stressed the necessity to strengthen intellectual skills and solidarity among the youth of geography and Ummah at large.
