The Eurasian Regional Center of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum is pleased to share the local stage of the series of “The 1st debate Championship of ICYF-ERC” to be organized in partnership with “Selet” Youth Organization in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan on 1-3 of April, 2022.
The international project is aimed at improving the knowledge of young people in the field of debates, improving their diction and self-expression skills, public speaking, as well as increasing their effectiveness in teamwork.
It should be noted that 32 debaters and 5 professional debate judges will participate in the championship where 8 different topics will be debated by selected teams. Exclusively, participation in the project will give teams the opportunity to compete in a mixed tournament format as well as gives the chance to the winners participate in the International Debate Tournament to represent their countries at the international level.
ICYF-ERC aims to involve in this project the young debaters from Azerbaijan, Central Asia and Eurasian region as whole and plans to widen the geographic area of the project in future, based on the gained experience from the championship organized in Azerbaijan, in partnership with Debate in Civil Society Public Union.
