The Eurasian Regional Center of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (#ICYFERC) is pleased to announce the “Islamic and Medieval Heritage Tour” within the framework of “Model OIC – International Relations Academy 2023”, organized by ICYF-ERC in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The tour will be held on April 16th with the participation of the participants of the Academy.
We will have a special day tour of the young and active participants to the historic, ethnocentric, and sites of religious importance. Participants will visit Mir Movsum Agha shrine that is a Central Asian-style shrine and it is considered a site of religious prominence. Participants will then visit #Qala Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex which is an ancient archeological settlement that holds attractions and a medieval castle dating back 5000 years ago. This time our itinerary focuses the Mardakan District, to acquaint the locals and foreign students with interesting and diverse medieval architecture and spiritual sites preserved in the Absheron.
Islam is recognized as an essential part of our independent national identity, so we take this opportunity to enlighten the participants about the centuries old #Islamic and cultural elements present. The #tour will be one of its kind, in feeling the significance of Islamic #history preserved in Azerbaijan. Later, a Special Edition session will take place and then we will conclude our day with a collective Iftar Dinner.
