3rd Week of the Model OIC International Relations Academy

The 3rd week of the Model OIC International Relations Academy 2019 in Baku hosted H.E. Amb. Farid Shafiyev, the Chairman of the Board of the Center for the Analysis of International Relation (AIR) and H.E. Mohamed Adil Embarch, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The lecture organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) was held in the Heydar Aliyev Center of the UNEC, on 20 April 2019. Both lectures were moderated by Mr. Elmaddin Mehdiyev, Director General of Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF.

In the first half, H.E. Amb. Farid Shafiyev made a presentation on “Contemporary approach to international relations theories: conceptual framework for understanding current global issues” which was followed by Q&A session on the topic. The local and international students participating in the lecture had opportunity to address questions and actively discuss the current global processes shaping the future of the world.

In the second half, the Academy week continued with the presentation on the Kingdom of Morocco by H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Adil Embarch. H.E. Ambassador described in details the economic development as well as foreign policy priorities of Morocco as the country hosting the founding conference of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in 1969, focusing on its active role in promotion of peace and cooperation globally.

The most active participants of the lecture were presented souvenirs on behalf of the Embassy.
