The meeting of the Board of the Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF (ICYF-ERC) was held in Islamabad, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on 7 February 2020.

The meeting opened (online) by Mr. Elchin Askerov, Chair of the Board of ICYF-ERC was chaired by Mr. Elmaddin Mehdiyev, Director General of ICYF-ERC and was attended by Ms. Aygul Gabdrakhmanova, Board Member of ICYF-ERC, Mr. Fsahat Ul Hassan, Board Member of ICYF-ERC, Ms. Wajiha Haris, Board Member of ICYF-ERC, Mr. Janat Chukeyev, Board Member of ICYF-ERC and Ms. Fadila Grine, Senior Advisor of the President of ICYF (as the guest observer).

Following adoption of the programme and agenda of the meeting and presentation of the ICYF-ERC Director General on the Report of the Activities of ICYF-ERC since the last meeting of the Board (December 2019), the meeting continued with discussions and consultations related to the additional suggestions on the ICYF-ERC activities for 2020 and other important issues on the agenda of the meeting.

In its decision adopted at the end of the meeting, along with adopting the Final Plan of Activities for 2020, the Board of ICYF-ERC expressed its profound appreciation to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony of Pakistan for its valuable partnership in organizing the international seminar on the “Role of Young Women and Girls in Countering Violent Extremism” in Islamabad, on 6 February 2020.

The Board of ICYF-ERC also expressed its deep gratitude to H.E. Dr. Arif Alvi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for receiving the ICYF-ERC Board and delegation of the seminar on 7 February 2020 as well as expressed its appreciation and thanks to H.E. Mr. Usman Dar, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Youth Affairs for holding fruitful meeting with participation of the Board of ICYF-ERC and delegation of the seminar.

The meeting of the Board highlighted with appreciation the role and dedication of Mr. Fsahat Ul Hassan, CEO of Youth Advocacy Network (YAN) and Board Member of ICYF-ERC in planning and successfully implementation of the project in Islamabad, Pakistan.
