Role of Young Women and Girls in Countering Violent Extremism

The international seminar on the “Role of Young Women and Girls in Countering Violent Extremism” co-organized by the Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF (ICYF-ERC) in partnership with the Youth Advocacy Network (YAN) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony, Pakistan successfully started in Islamabad Serena Hotel, on 6 February 2020.
The Opening Ceremony started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and was addressed by H.E. Mr. Pir Noor Ul Haq Qadri, Federal Minister of Religious Affairs & Inter-Faith Harmony of Pakistan, Mr. Elmaddin Mehdiyev, Director General of ICYF-ERC, Dr. Fadila Grine, Senior Advisor to the President of OIC Youth Forum – delivering the statement of H.E. Mr. Taha Ayhan, the President of ICYF and Mr. Fsahat Ul Hassan, CEO of Youth Advocacy Network and Board Member of ICYF-ERC.
The event organized with the participation of prominent experts on the subject and more than 100 hundred young activists continues with the topical panels to discuss the important issues, including the academic and practical sights pertaining to the involvement of young women and girls in countering the violent extremism.
