A Memorandum of Understanding Signed between the Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF and Baku State University

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Baku State University (BSU) and the Eurasian Regional Center (ERC) of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF).

The MoU was signed by  Mr.Elchin Babayev, Rector of BSU, and Mr. Elchin Asgarov, Chair of the Board of ICYF-ERC.

During the signing ceremony, discussions were held on Azerbaijan’s state youth and education policies, the importance of protecting national and moral values, and the significant role that BSU plays in this process. The event also highlighted the activities of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the ICYF, and its Eurasian Regional Center operating in Baku with diplomatic status as an international organization. Special emphasis was placed on youth development projects carried out by the ERC.

Participants discussed the importance of the Model OIC and Debate Championships organized annually since 2011 under the ERC’s initiative, noting their contribution to fostering leadership skills among young people.

Mr. Elchin Asgarov expressed his gratitude to Rector Elchin Babayev for the continuous support provided by BSU to these initiatives. He noted that BSU students have demonstrated exceptional talent and capabilities at international Model OIC summits held in various countries, often reaching the finals.

The meeting also featured discussions on potential local, regional, and international projects and initiatives to be implemented between BSU and the ICYF-ERC. Ideas were exchanged regarding the activities to be realized within the framework of the signed memorandum.
