Cultural-religious heritage of Azerbaijanis and historical mosques were destroyed under the Armenian Occupation.

Haji Alakbar Mosque built in the XIX century in the Fuzuli city of Azerbaijan was totally destroyed and desecrated under the three decade long Armenian occupation. The city of Fuzuli was occupied by Armenia on 23 August 1993 and liberated by the military forces of Azerbaijan on 17 October 2020.

During the visit of diplomatic cops accredited in Baku to the liberated Fuzuli region of Azerbaijan on 22 November 2020, ambassadors, military attaches, representatives of foreign missions and international organizations, including the Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF, witnessed on site the remnants of the XIX century Haji Alakbar Mosque in Fuzuli razed to the ground by the occupants.
