Upon the invitation of the OIC Youth Indonesia, Mr. Elmaddin Mehdiyev, Director General of the Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF addressed the Opening Ceremony of the webinar on the modern impact of the Nizami Ganjavi’s intellectual-literary heritage to the cultural interaction and harmony. The webinar was held on 8 February 2021 with the participation of honorable guests and experts.
The webinar was also addressed by H.E. Mr. Hildi Hamid, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Prof. Dr. Husnan Bey Fananie, Historian and the former Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Tantan Taufiq Lubis, Vice President of ICYF and Mr. Intigam Huseynov, representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Indonesia.
The webinar hosted also the presentation of the Indonesian movie “Leyla Majnun” inspired by the Nizami Ganjavi’s masterpiece “Leyla and Majnun” and shot both, in Azerbaijan and Indonesia. The movie will be released on Netflix, on 11 February 2021.
