Delegation of the Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF (ICYF-ERC) was received by H.E. Amb. Ali Alizada, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
In the framework of the international seminar on the “Role of Young Women and Girls in Countering Violent Extremism” co-organized by ICYF-ERC and Youth Advocacy Network (YAN) in partnership with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony of Pakistan, the Board members and staff of ICYF-ERC were received by H.E. Ali Alizada, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Islamabad, on 7 February 2020.
Mr. Elmaddin Mehdiyev, Director General of ICYF-ERC on behalf of the delegation expressed gratitude to H.E. Amb. Ali Alizada for the organized meeting his participation at the Gala Reception of the seminar devoted to the 15th Anniversary of ICYF and informed in details on the aims and outcomes of the visit to Islamabad, including the international seminar on the “Role of Young Women and Girls in Countering Violent Extremism”. His Excellency Ambassador congratulated ICYF-ERC and the partners of the event on successful organization of the seminar in Islamabad and encouraged ICYF-ERC to develop its cooperation in brotherly Pakistan for the benefit of Pakistani youth, emphasizing the readiness of the Embassy to contribute to this cooperation. Underlying the strong and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan Ambassador Alizada informed the guests on the activities of the Embassy towards strengthening cooperation between the two states in youth field as well.
The members of the Board of ICYF-ERC thanked His Excellency Ambassador for his expressed support towards activities of ICYF-ERC and had opportunity to exchange views on development of international youth oriented projects in Pakistan and in the region at large. Mr. Fsahat Ul Hassan, ICYF-ERC Board Member from Pakistan mentioning the activities of the Embassy and personally His Excellency Ambassador towards development of existing brotherhood among the two nations shared his readiness to contribute to these activities through close cooperation and joint projects.
