Delegation of the Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF (ICYF-ERC) was received by Mr. Usman Dar, Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Youth Affairs.
In the framework of the international seminar on the “Role of Young Women and Girls in Countering Violent Extremism” co-organized by ICYF-ERC and Youth Advocacy Network (YAN) in partnership with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony of Pakistan, the ICYF-ERC Board and international guests of the seminar were received by Mr. Usman Dar, Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Youth Affairs in Islamabad, on 7 February 2020.
Mr. Elmaddin Mehdiyev, Director General of ICYF-ERC on behalf of the organizers and guests expressed deep gratitude to Mr. Usman Dar for the meeting and presented detailed information on the aims and outcomes of the event. Mentioning the 15th Anniversary of ICYF, Mr. Mehdiyev presented both, the activities of ICYF since its establishment in December 2004 and the projects and programmes conducted by its Eurasian Regional Center which is hosted by the Government of Azerbaijan in Baku and comprises Pakistan also in its mandated geography of activity.
Mr. Usman Dar congratulated ICYF-ERC and the partners of the event for successful organization and encouraged the ICYF-ERC and its partner YAN to further develop cooperation in Pakistan towards successfully holding future activities for the benefit of Pakistani youth. The detailed presentation on the Prime Minister’s “Kamyab Jawan” National Youth Development Programme was made for the guests.
The Board Members of ICYF-ERC Ms. Wajiha Haris, Mr. Fsahat Ul Hassan (CEO of YAN), Ms. Aygul Gabdrakhmanova and Mr. Janat Chukeyev as well as the Senior Advisor to the ICYF President, Ms. Fadila Grine were present at the meeting.
