The “Islamic Youth Talks for Peace and Harmony”

The “Islamic Youth Talks for Peace and Harmony” session was held on the margins of the “Shusha OIC Youth Capital – 2024” in collaboration with our partners. Mrs. Indira Hajiyeva, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Ms. Ceren Tuğba Çerçi, Director of the Projects Department at ICYF delivered their opening remark, highlighting the main role of young individuals in the context of Islamic Youth Talks for Peace and Harmony.

Following the speakers’ remarks, the panel session has started. Chair of the Board of ICYF-ERC, Mr. Elchin Asgarov, Rector of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, Mr. Agil Shirinov, and Chancellor of Uganda Islamic University, Mr. Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda were among the panelists who conveyed their perspectives on fostering Islamic values, unity, mutual understanding, and peaceful coexistence to the audience. The panel highlighted the significance of Islamic values and cultural heritage in uniting the Islamic community.

After the panelists’ speech, a question-and-answer session started. During the Q&A session, youth participants from diverse Islamic countries addressed their questions to the panelists.
