The Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF (ICYF-ERC) full-heartedly congratulates the Azerbaijani Youth and those working for youth both, in governmental and non-governmental levels on the occasion of 2 February – Azerbaijani Youth Day.
On February 2, 1996, at the initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, late Heydar Aliyev, the I Forum of Azerbaijani Youth was held. Young people from all regions of the republic participated in the forum. In 1997, the late President Heydar Aliyev signed an order that declared the day of the 1st Forum of Azerbaijani Youth – February 2 as “Azerbaijani Youth Day”. This decision was among the firsts in the world to announce a specific date as a Youth Day.
Today Azerbaijani Youth is one of the most active and advanced ones in the OIC geography. ICYF-ERC is thankful to the youth of Azerbaijan – the initiator and active supporter of ICYF for its warm hospitality and will spare no efforts to actively continue and develop the existing cordial relations and fruitful cooperation.
