Happy OIC Youth Day!
The International Board and staff of the Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF (ICYF-ERC) express their cordial congratulations to the youth of Ummah on the occasion of 3 September – the OIC Youth Day!
This date symbolizes the inauguration of the headquarters of OIC Youth Forum in Istanbul, on 3 September 2006 by H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan along with many high-level state officials from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and international dignitaries. 3 September 2006 set an important milestone in the development and institutionalization of ICYF established in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2004 under the patronage of the Government of Azerbaijan and its leadership with the aim to serve the development and solidarity of the Muslim in the OIC geography and globally. Since 2017 it is already #4th year that this date is celebrated as the #OICYouthDay, upon the decision of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.
On the occasion of this special day, ICYF-ERC noting the tireless efforts of the founders and all those contributed to the establishment and development of ICYF expresses its best wishes of success to the whole staff and member organizations of the Forum.
This year we are celebrating #OICYouthDay under unprecedented circumstances, as the #COVID19 pandemic continues to challenge the lives and aspirations of youth as an important segment of the society. But the main source of our optimism and devotion these days is the resilience and enthusiasm of the young generation to overcome all the challenges for the bright future. With this ultimate goal, we continue to serve the youth of the geography #ForABetterFuture!
