The Eurasian Regional Center of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF-ERC) is deeply saddened by the death of Azerbaijani civilians, including 13 years old Shahriyar Gurbanov and 14 years old Fidan Gurbanova, as a result of the military provocations and attacks of the Armenian Armed Forces. We are horrified by the insane and heinous actions of the Armed Forces of Armenia that deliberately targets the civilian settlements of Azerbaijan with heavy artillery attacks.
Targeting the civilians and civilian infrastructure by the Armed forces of Armenia constitutes the violation of norms and principles of international humanitarian law, in particular 1949 Geneva Conventions as well as blatantly erodes the common ethics and values of humanity.
We express our full solidarity with the people and Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan to take the necessary counter-offensive measures to stop the adversary terrorising the security of Azerbaijani civilians and peace in the whole region.
May Allah the Almighty have mercy upon the souls of the victims and grant with patience their families!
